First International Baseball Field in Denmark
The Danish Baseball Federation and the Organization of Company Sports in Odense together with the municipality of Odense (the third biggest city in Denmark) constructed the first baseball stadium per international dimensions in Denmark, to strengthen baseball activities not only in this area, but in the whole country.
Denmark is a very small land and with the location of a baseball field in the heart of the country, and only 2 km from the principal highway, the field is welcoming teams from all over Denmark as well as Sweden and teams from Germany for international events.
The field was built with the necessary elements to play seasonal games. Further expansion was fulfilled in 2016. The indoor facilities, such as batting cages, and bullpen were made to prepare players during the winter season. In addition, additional, smaller field was constructed to develop baseball for younger players as part of the International Little League baseball program, of which Denmark is a member.
Federation was looking forward to completion of this crucial stadium project to share with the citizens of Denmark this wonderful game with all its special social and character developmental qualities.
