Japan Day in Oosterhout closing Dutch Hoofdklasse Season on August 28
Japan Ambassador to the Netherlands, His Excellency Hiroshi Inomata, has been invited for the ceremonial first pitch of the last postseason game of Dutch Hoofdklasse club “Glaskoning Twins” in Oosterhout. The special event on Sunday 28 August is being organized by Euro League Baseball president Wim van den Hurk with the support of ANA All Nippon Airways (www.ana.co.jp), Nissin Noodles (www.nissinfoods.com) and Asahi Beer (www.asahibeer.com).
These Japanese companies welcome baseball fans from the Netherlands and Europe. Stadium Slotbosse Toren will open at 12.00 hrs and attendants of the event in Oosterhout can win tickets for a Brussels – Tokyo round trip and other items from NPB clubs “Softbank Hawks” and “Rakuten Eagles”. Euro League Baseball and “Glaskoning Twins” wish to thank Japanese pitcher Keiji Uezono for his performances and support during Hoofdklasse season 2016. In regular season Uezono during 59 innings pitched had a 1.68 ERA in 9 appearances including 7 starts for 4 wins and 1 loss.
