Norway is Baseball. Baseball is Norway
There is interesting museum of baseball in Norway. This museum tells the story of how baseball came to the little town of Norway shortly after the Civil War, and culminated in 20 State High School Championships; producing along the way, prolific numbers of college and semi pro players, seventeen Minor Leaguers, and four Major Leaguers. Museum building was constructed in 1905 by Norway baseball player, Jake Kimm, to be the Benton County Savings Bank. One hundred years later, it would be remodeled entirely by former Norway ball players to be this museum. In 2006, the motion picture the Final Season was filmed in the town. It tells the story of Norway’s 20th, and final State Baseball Championship, as local high school was closed the next year. The Museum is a non-profit and was developed, and is entirely managed, by local volunteers; demonstrating that the love affair between Norway and Baseball continues to this day.

I am not a big fan of baseball. But honesty I would visit this museum, if I was in Norway. I haven’t heard about such place elsewhere. I haven’t the idea about baseball in Norway. Also I was impressed by the duration of the baseball history there. And I really surprised, that it is even exist. I can say, they are really doing well in this. Cause, not many can maintain and develop smth during such long period. Good job. I hope, it will be existing a really long time.
