After Gavin Ng stepped down at the end of the 2017 season, the Stuttgart Reds announced his successor this past weekend.

Former Mainz Athletics player and head coach Ulli Wermuth is taking over as head coach and technical director for the Reds. Besides coaching the German Baseball-Bundesliga team he is also going to coordinate all development activities of the club and lead the newly founded Baseball Academy in Stuttgart.
