On past weekend L&D Amsterdam prevailed 5-4 over the Hoofddorp Pioniers in the Dutch Hoofdklasse Semifinal Round Robin.

A run by Remco Draijer on a sac fly by Danny Rombley broke the 4-4 tie in the top of the ninth inning, giving the Pirates the win. Amsterdam had taken a 4-0 lead, but Hoofddorp fought back and tied the contest in the sixth thanks to a solo home run by Shurman Marlin. Kevin Heijstek went the distance for the win. Taylor Clemensia got charged with the loss.
