On a rare Thursday evening game day in the German Baseball-Bundesliga the Munich-Haar Disciples beat the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe 10-6.

The Disciples took a quick 10-0 lead after four innings thanks to big hits by Richard Klijn (3-Run-Home-Run) and Christoph Ziegler (2-Run-Triple). For Heidenheim it was the first loss in 13 games in the 2017 season. The Heidekoepfe tried to rally and got on the board with a five-run fifth. But due to the big deficit in the beginning it was too little too late. Game two will be played on Saturday at 6pm CET in Heidenheim.
