The Dutch Hoofdklasse is starting into the 2017 season this Thursday. Three games are on the schedule, as only seven instead of eight teams are playing in the top division in the Netherlands after the late withdrawal of Kinheim last fall.

The new season commences with DSS hosting L&D Amsterdam, Hoofddorp Pioniers playing against HCAW and Pickles UVV squaring off against De Glaskoning Twins. Defending champion Curacao Neptunus will have a bye on opening weekend.
