Chad Scheilz nominated as AllStar Coach
On April 17, the BLA AllStars will face the Austrian U23 National Team in Wels. Chad Scheilz got nominated to coach the league AllStars. Since 2014 Scheilz is arround Austrian baseball and knows teams and players. As being named the coach for the Austrian Allstars, Chad Scheilz has been around baseball for 25+ years.
Through several years of coaching in the competitive, high school, and college levels, Chad has gained the experience that has helped him spread the development and knowledge of baseball around the world. He is a coach, player, umpire, private instructor, and personal trainer that provides insight into the game from many perspectives.Chad started his world travels in baseball in 2014 when he came to Vienna and played for the “Vienna Bucks”. The “Vienna Bucks”, who were led by Markus Schiller, were the 2014 Baseball Bundesliga Champions. In 2015, Chad stayed within the BBL to play for the “Schwechat Blue Bats” and took over the managing and coaching duties about halfway through the season.
In 2016, the “Traiskirchen Grasshoppers” named Chad as the manager of their organization. There, he oversaw the team’s practices and coached during the games while participating as a player. The organization made great leaps in progression within the 2017 not only on the field but off the field also. The “Grasshoppers” were at the top of the ladder for most of the season and ended up in a 3-team tie for 1st place.After the 2016 season with “Traiskirchen”, Chad left Vienna to play in Australia for the 2016-17 winter season. There he played for the “Tuggeranong Vikings” and now will be playing in France for the 2017 season. Chad will start his season with the “Cometz” on April 9th and will be in Vienna to coach the Austrian Allstars on April 17th.
