Eric Faint, Kevin Vance join Buchbinder Legionaere as Import Players
The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg have announced the signings of Eric Faint and Kevin Vance to bolster the pitching staff for the 2017 season. Faint already played for the Buchbinder Legionaere in 2010 and then married a Regensburg native. He already played for the club in the Buchbinder Cup in recent years and now he is moving back to Germany. The 30-year-old sidearmer had an ERA of 2.47 during the 2010 campaign.
The second import also has ties to the Buchbinder Legionaere. Former Chicago White Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks minor leaguer Vance will join the club as well. He is the brother of Regensburg shortstop Matt Vance. The 26-year-old played for the Long Island Ducks last year. Vance and Faint will join the team shortly before the European Champions Cup.
The Buchbinder Legionaere also confirmed that Jan Tomek, Clayton Voechting and Bong Kyu Kang will not return.
