Results of the first “Baseball5 European Championship”
The first “Baseball5 European Championship” was held in Vilnius, Lithuania, on February 28 – March 1.
Sixteen National Teams, divided into four groups, fought for the first-ever Baseball5 European title. Group “A” included Belgium, The Netherlands, Moldova and Sweden. Belarus, Italy, Latvia and Romania were included in Group “B”. Bulgaria, Estonia, Israel and Russia competed in Group “C” while the hosts Lithuania was the part of Group “D” together with France, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
During the final match, France defeated the hosts Lithuania, to have the honor of becoming the first-ever Baseball5 European Champions.
Thus, finalists France and Lithuania had already qualified for the first “Baseball5 World Cup”, scheduled for December 2020 in Mexico.
