David Bosque has played for the “BioTexCom-SDUSHOR-2” team. And it`s hard to say that he is an American to the core. David was born in the Cuban – American family in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Adrian Bosque is a father of the talented 15-year-old sportsman. Adrian also feels as Ukrainian that’s why he supports son`s idea playing for his historical homeland. David`s father finished the National Aviation University. Later he got married and had been living for 30 years in Luhansk region with his family. The Bosque family had moved to the USA in 2014 where David learned the basics of the baseball game:

–        I started with nothing, – David says, – it was really hard. I studied little by little, gained experience and now I play at a fairly good level. We live in Miami, Florida where I play for the “SBO” team from Colorado Springs. We take part in many different tournaments. Our coach is Jose Rodrigues from Puerto Rico. He is a qualified specialist who helps to develop a personal touch. I play in the outfield, infield, and pitcher positions because the coach demand from us to develop versatile baseball talents. I have decided to play for Ukraine because I consider myself a patriot. That’s why I want to help my country in any way that I can. My teammates accepted me great. They always try to be helpful and supportive. I share with my new partners all baseball knowledge which I`ve been taught. Of course, Ukrainian baseball is more amateur but still, there is the Kropyvnytskyi city where play top sportsmen from the Ukrainian national and other teams. First, I hope to play for the youth team but there is a big desire to be a part of the first national team of Ukraine.

And this what Adrian Bosque says about this son`s aspiration:

–       My son really loves Ukraine. He has many objects related to Ukraine at home. So, I decided that playing for the Ukrainian national team can help my son to develop his baseball skills. I had contacted with Oleg Boiko and sent him some videos and information. And after that, we were invited to visit Kropyvnytskyi city.

I can tell you that David has already in the public eye in the USA. It’s called the “catalogue”. There are some universities which interested in my son. They would like to see him in their educational establishment. The main goal for us here is to gain an experience which might help to break out to MLB. David is learning online now thus he has enough time for playing baseball. I just hope we can swing it.

And here`s what Serhii Lymarenko says about his new teammate:

–       David’s potential is enormous. He is only 15 but his physical abilities and fitness level are fantastic. The boy has been practicing baseball a little more than 4 years. Anyway, he throws a ball at speed almost 60 km/h. David`s abilities are fantastic. His skills are a great enhancement for the “BioTexCom-SDUSHOR-2” team and the national team.

The head coach of the “BioTexCom-KNTU” and the Ukrainian youth teams Yurii Boiko also emphasized about David`s perspectives:

–       The new member of our second team has a really big desire to play for the national team. I am sure that he will bring benefits to Ukrainian baseball. Currently, there is a tendency in Europe to attract strong foreign sportsmen who help to achieve higher results for their national teams. I am talking about adult baseball players with high skills. Unfortunately, we can`t do it the same way. Firstly, dual nationality is forbidden in our country. Secondly, we haven’t enough financial to attract such bright players who might improve the outcome of the games. And this is very essential that this boy wants to play for Ukraine. But we also work for the future. Our colleagues have created the most comfortable playing conditions for David. Maybe it can be the detriment for team results in some way. But I am sure that David has enormous potential even though he had some difficulties at the beginning.
