Netherlands won the “European Baseball Championship 2019”!
The “European Baseball Championship 2019” was held in Bonn and Solingen (Germany) on September 7-15 and featured 12 nations from all over Europe.
The top five of the final standings at the championship will advance to the Europe-Africa Olympic Qualifier, which will be played right after the tournament in Bologna and Parma, Italy, from September 18 to 22.
According to the results of the final, the Netherlands has won the “European Baseball Championship 2019”! It’s their 23rd European Baseball title. They beat Italy in the Gold Medal Game, and Spain won the bronze medal after a slugfest against Israel. Germany lost the game for fifth place to the Czech Republic and misses out on qualifying for the next Olympic Qualifier in Italy.
