The B-Pool European Championship in Slovakia started with four games. In Group “A” Switzerland prevailed 16-9 over Finland. Ukraine beat Poland 11-1 in seven innings.

Lithuania broke a 6-6 tie with two runs in the eighth of an 8-6 win over Romania in Group “B”. Host Slovakia also had a successful start with a 10-1 victory over Belarus.

Israel and Russia improved to 2-0 during the “European Championship Seniors B 2019” in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Israel downed Serbia 11-1 in a game of day-one winners. Russia won a slugfest 14-8 against Greece. Ireland shut out Bulgaria 5-0 in the early evening game.
