34-year-old Italian slugger Giuseppe Mazzanti is leaving Nettuno after two years to join Unipol Bologna for the 2018 season in the Italian Baseball League.

He batted .293 with eight doubles and four home runs in 30 games. The arrival of the IBL MVP of 2007 and 2008 was the biggest news during the annual Christmas meeting of Bologna and the press corps.
