The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg have signed 23-year-old US-American left-hander Bill Greenfield for the 2018 season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. He is coming from the Furman University (NCAA Division I), which he attended the last four years.

However, he has submitted an application for an Irish passport and would be eligible as EU player.

Greenfield joins a pitching staff together with Mike Bolsenbroek, Jonathan Eisenhuth, Daniel Mendelsohn, Philipp Meyer and Michael Woehrl.
