The World Baseball Softball Confederation’s is debuting Team WBSC, an international collection of players and coaching staff with experience as high as Major League Baseball, in Taiwan’s Asia Winter Baseball League (AWB).

The inaugural Team WBSC, led by Netherlands National Team coach Steve Janssen, features players and coaches from eight Americas and European nations, including Brazil, Belgium, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Italy, Puerto Rico, United States and Venezuela.

However, there is still some European flavor on the team, as Steve Janssen is managing the coaching staff together with Manu Olivera, Renny Duarte, Kevin Randel and Andrea D’Auria. On the roster itself there are only a couple of players from European baseball with Rudy van Heydoorn, Erick Epifano, Leonardo Ferrini, Josh Kimborowicz, Leo Rodriguez and Vicente Lupo.
