Pan American U-23 Championship takes off 24 November in Panama, qualifies 5 for Baseball World Cup
The nations, groups and schedule of the inaugural U-23 Pan American Baseball Championship in Panama (Chitré, Aguadulce and Santiago) have been confirmed by WBSC’s Americas body, the Pan American Baseball Confederation.
The 12-nation continental championship is scheduled from Friday, 24 November to Sunday, 3 December, and serves as the Americas qualifier for the WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup 2018.
The top 4 teams will advance to the Baseball World Cup.
In Group A: Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic and Panama
In Group B: Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Venezuela
At the end of the first round, the top 3 teams in each group will advance to the super round. The 2 top teams of the super round will play (2 pm local time on Sunday, 3 December) for the title.
