The KIA Tigers, together with Dutch outfielder Roger Bernadina, won the 2017 Korea Series.

They defeated two-time defending champion Doosan Bears 4-1 in the best-of-seven final series. It’s their 11th title overall and their first in the Korea Baseball Organisation since 2009. Bernadina is the second Dutch player to win the championship in the KBO after Rick van den Hurk did it in 2013 and 2014 with the Samsung Lions.
