Netherlands has won the consolation round of the WBSC U18 Baseball World Cup 2017 against Nicaragua. The team from Netherlands beat Nicaragua players with the score 8-3.

In the top of the fourth Nicaragua took the lead. Shortstop Jeyner Sanchez got a double and advanced to third on a base hit by catcher Loaisiga.

The Netherlands tied the game in the bottom of the fifth. Obando made a run and shortstop Kelkboom scored a double RBI.

Then the Netherlands extended the lead in the bottom of the seventh. Hitter Van de Sande made a walk and third baseman Selassa got a single RBI. The Netherlands added 2 more runs thanks to a defensive error and a wild pitch.
