This past weekend the quarterfinals in the German Baseball-Bundesliga got underway with the top four of the Interleague round making the most of their home field advantage.

The Heidenheim Heidekoepfe used strong pitching for 3-0 and 6-2 wins over the Mannheim Tornados. The Bonn Capitals prevailed 8-3 and 4-2 over the Solingen Alligators. The Munich-Haar Disciples celebrated a pair of 2-1 wins over the Untouchables Paderborn with the second being decided in extra innings. And the Mainz Athletics downed the Dohren Wild Farmers 4-1 and 13-5.
