Alex Bassani, Pietro Cadoni and Yovany D’Amico combined to keep last year’s runner up at one run. The only blemish was a solo home run by Federico Celli in the eighth. Novara had scored four runs in the first. Oscar Angulo hit a solo home run. Carlos Richetti got charged with the loss allowing four unearned runs on four hits, getting removed with two outs in the first.
