The Cincinnati Reds have released catcher Shawn Zarraga. The 28-year-old Oranjestad native had played in the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers between 2008 and 2016. As a minor league free agent he signed with the Reds this winter, but didn’t survive spring training. Last year with the Dodgers he even got called up to the big leagues to fill a void after a trade, but didn’t got into a game.
