Kenley Jansen joins Netherlands for Semifinals in Los Angeles
The Netherlands and Japan qualified as first two teams for the semi-finals at the 2017 World Baseball Classic in Los Angeles. The Dutch team will receive a pretty important reinforcement on their quest to win their second world title after 2011. Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen will join the bullpen.
When taking the field the 29-year-old he will make his first appearance since catching for the Netherlands in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. In 2013 he also was a late addition to the roster, but didn’t play. At the end of the 2016 season he became a free agent in Major League Baseball and re-signed with the Dodgers for $80 million.
