«Frankfurt Eagels» welcomes new players
The Frankfurt Eagels have announced they have signed Kwan-Hee Park as their import pitcher for the 2017 season. Team’s coach Kolwin Weimer described this event as “an absolute fortune”. He said in particular “We had been looking for an import player for quite long time, but it turned to be extremely difficult. Kwan-Hee Park contacted with us via Facebook page and it became clear we will cooperate. He will take position of “foreign pitcher,” and in some time he will be able to take other positions on the field”.
33-year old right-hander has 11 years of experience playing in Korea. His sport career began with a university team UOS Falcons and various amateur baseball leagues. Now Kwan-Hee Park not only plays, but he is also engaged in coaching activities. In 2016 he played in 12 games and had 6 wins and 4 losses (ERA of 4.63). He was also successful in attack and led his team to the playoff (AVG.0.469 / OBP 0.568 / SLG 0.750 / OPS 1.318).
In addition, the Frankfurt Eagels added another one right-handed pitcher for the 2017 season. Isaiah Shea transferred from the «Berlin Sluggers» team. Isaiah is a multifunctional infielder, who played in both Verbands liga and the 2nd North Bundesliga, Berlin. The American mostly played as 2nd baseman or as a shortstop, but also played as a pitcher.
