Korea was leading the Yokohama DeNA BayStars 2-1 in the eighth inning, when a two-run single handed the club from Nippon Professional Baseball a 3-2 win. Korea already had lost 0-4 to the Yomiuri Giants on Sunday. After returning to South Korea the team will play a couple more exhibition games against Cuba and Australia before facing Chinese Taipei, the Netherlands and Israel during first-round play in the World Baseball Classic in Seoul.
