Rudy Owens is replacing Matt Zielinski as pitcher at Unipol Bologna. The 29-year-old left-hander last played for Somerset in the Atlantic League. Prior to that he spent time in affiliated minor league ball with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers. With the Astros he enjoyed a cup of coffee in the big leagues, making one appearance in Major League Baseball in 2014. Zielinski meanwhile is joining Somerset for the 2017 campaign.
