Chinese Taipei concludes Trip to Australia ahead of World Baseball Classic
Chinese Taipei concluded a two-week World Baseball Classic warm-up trip to the Gold Coast in Australia with an exhibition game against reigning Australian Baseball League champion Brisbane Bandits on Tuesday. Chinese Taipei won 5-4 against the Bandits. The game was broadcasted live with 350.000 people tuned in.
Baseball Australia Chief Operating Officer Justin Drew was excited to host the Taiwanese team. “It was an honor to host one of the best teams in world baseball,” Drew said. “The tour was met with a fantastic response from the local community, and it further enhanced the relationship between Australian and Taiwanese baseball.
