The newly formatted and named Baseball League Austria (BLA), the successor to the Austrian Baseball League, has its 2017 schedule. The new season starts on April 21 with a night game between the “Vienna Wanderers” and the “Diving Ducks Wiener Neustadt”. One day later the promoted “Traiskirchen Grasshoppers”, the “Hard Bulls”, “Feldkirch Cardinals” and “BSC Kufstein Vikings” will enter the BLA, split into an East and West Division. Ten teams will compete for the title with the “Athletics Attnang-Puchheim” being the defending champion. Additionally the “Stock City Cubs”, “Vienna Metrostars” and “Dornbirn Indians” will play in the BLA.
