L&D Amsterdam has added left-hander Nick Veltkamp to their roster for the 2017 season. He last year pitched for Kinheim, which withdrew from the Dutch Hoofdklasse last fall. In difference to his former teammates he didn’t transfer to another team and therefore now has been free to join the Pirates outside of the transfer window. The 33-year-old had been playing for Kinheim since 2008.
