Former Major Leaguer Eduardo Sanchez is joining ASD Parma for the 2017 season in the Italian Baseball League. The 27-year-old right-hander from Venezuela played in the big leagues for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. He had signed as amateur free agent with the Cardinals in 2005 and worked his way through their farm system. He made his MLB debut in 2011. In 2013 he joined the Cubs organization. Since then he also pitched in the Mexican League and played winter ball in Venezuela.
