The “Cologne Cardinals” announced on Wednesday evening that Devery Van De Keere will be their new head coach for the 2017 season in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. The 31-year-old Canadian is a former minor leaguer within the “Kansas City Royals” organization, who worked with the “Dornbirn Indians” in Austria for seven seasons. He also served as coach for the Austrian Baseball Federation and as MLB Envoy Coach. He succeeds the tandem of Alex Carter and Jack Shannon with the Cardinals.
