T&A San Marino announced at the end of last week that they have appointed Marco Nanni as new manager of the Italian Baseball League team. The 51-year-old worked ten seasons for Unipol Bologna before parting ways after the 2015 season. He already was mentioned as potential San Marino manager midway through the 2016 season, but eventually at that time both sides didn’t find common ground. He is succeeding Mauro Mazzotti, who steps back into his general manager role with the Titans. Mazzotti had replaced Doriano Bindi after a disappointing start into 2016. With Bologna Nanni won the Italian Baseball League in 2009 and 2014, as well as three European Cups in 2010, 2012 and 2013.
