Novara continues to build its team for the 2017 season in the Italian Baseball League. They have signed veteran Jairo Ramos. The 45-year-old Venezuela native who has an Italian passport is coming from Rimini to serve as hitting coach and occasional pinch hitter/designated hitter. Ramos came to Italy in 1998 to play for Grosseto. Since then he also has suited up for Fortitudo Bologna, T&A San Marino and Rimini. With Grosseto and San Marino he has won five national championships combined.
