Next year Paderborn city will welcome the DBV-Convention. Event will take place in Ahorn-Sportpark sport complex and will last for three days, since 13^th to 15^th of January. 45-year-old American star Derek Johnson will be one of the lecturers. Coach may be invited to operate in Germany through cooperation with the International Sports Group (ISG). In view of the fact that since 2016 season he coached pitchers of «Milwaukee Brewers» baseball team, Jonson may bring some MLB features to the Ahorn-Sportpark. It is his second season in the major baseball league. Before, Derek worked in minor league with «Chicago Cubs» baseball club and owing to his diligence common team from the “Windy City” for the first time in the 108 years history has won the title of the World Series.

Johnson has been working as a trainer since 1994. Before he got into professional baseball, he worked for 11 years as pitchers’ coach in the famous American University of Vanderbilt (NCAA Division I) and educated 34 pitchers. 11 of them reached the MLB by Draft program. Moreover, among Johnson’s students there are such stars as David Price, Sonny Gray, Mike Minor, Jason Freyzor and Jeremy Sauers. Derek Jonson even wrote and published a book about pitching, titled: «The Complete Guide to Pitching». After all, he is known as innovator in pitching field and is considered to be one of the most creative coaches.

The baseball seminar will be held during the DBV-Convention from Friday to Sunday. Registration for participation is available at the website. Among the other lecturers who will also speak at the Convention one can see Tom O’connell, Andre Lašans, Martin Ullì, Helmig Vermouth, Troy Williams and Martejn Najhoff.
