The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg announced on Wednesday that right-handed pitcher Mike Bolsenbroek remains with the team through the 2017 season. The 29-year-old Netherlands native has been pitching for Regensburg since 2008 with a short break during his minor league time with the Philadelphia Phillies. He will also serve as pitching coach for the youth program of the club. Other clubs from Germany and the Netherlands were interested in his services, but he ultimately decided to stay with the” Buchbinder Legionaere”.
