Rouen will host “Challenge of France” baseball competition which will take place from 25 to 27 May, 2017. «Seine-Maritime» baseball club will be the home team of the championship. Eight best French teams will participate in the “Challenge of France” games. At the same time they will take place in qualifying competitions for the European Cup.

«The Huskies Rouen» is considered to be the most successful team of this competition. It has already hosted the same games in 2006 and 2011. During four days it is planned to play 13 games. This match is a new opportunity to promote and develop baseball in France.

This year “The Huskies Rouen” team celebrates its 30^th anniversary. This team is considered to be amateur. In France, there are no professional clubs. In Europe, only Netherlands and Italy have professional baseball clubs. Germany and the Czech Republic have semi-professional ones. Although, Rouen’s team coach each year sends one or two players to study in American university in order they have an opportunity to study and upgrade their skills.
