Ukrainian Baseball Open Championship, Major League is held among teams of two divisions – Division “A” and Division “B”.

Major League Division “A” is open one. In order to become a member of it it`s obligatory:

• To play in Division “B” at least one season;
• To provide a stadium for hosting games according to the norms and regulations.

Teams in Division “A” play:

If there are 4 teams – they play two circles and six rounds;

If there are 5 teams – two circles and 10 rounds;

If there are 6 teams – two circles and 10 rounds.

If there are seven teams or more in Division “A”, they are divided into two groups – according to the rating of the previous year. After that, there`s a two-circle tournament in each group and play-offs between them (“fist-to-fist” system).

The match system is itinerant one. All games are held on weekends. One game is held on Saturday and two on Sunday (double-header). Each game consists of 9 innings (knockout after seventh inning with a difference in 10 points).

* By consent of participating teams, there`s a possibility to held two games on Saturday (double-header) and only one game on Sunday.

Division “B” teams play two-circle itinerant tournament. If there are six teams or more in Division “B”, they are divided into two groups.

If there are not enough teams for the conduction of Championship in two Divisions the Major League will be held without any division.

Each participating team of the Ukrainian Championship, Major League, hosts the rival team on its field, and plays the game on the field of the opponent. If the hosting team doesn`t not have own appropriate field it should lease the field from rival team.

Ukrainian Baseball Championship, First League

Teams play two-circle itinerant tournament – 6 rounds. Each team hosts the rival team on its field, and plays the game on the field of each opponent. If the hosting team doesn`t not have own appropriate field it should lease the field from rival team.

The match system is itinerant one. All games are held on weekends. One game is held on Saturday and one on Sunday. Each game consists of 9 innings (knockout after seventh inning with a difference in 10 points). By consent of participating teams, there`s a possibility to held two games on one day (double-header). It consists of 7 innings (knockout after fourth inning with a difference in 10 points).

Ukrainian Baseball Cup

All games of the Ukrainian Baseball Cup start after the Ukrainian Baseball Championship is finished. Ukrainian Baseball Cup is held according to the applied applications of all teams until September 1.

In order to take part in the Ukrainian Cup, all teams should make a request. Clubs, which were got at the participation, play their games on the field of that team, which is higher in the rating.

When filing of application is finished, with the help of draw procedure, BSFU defines the opponents of teams that were got at. All games of the Ukrainian Baseball Open Cup are held according to the following system:

• If there is less than 16 participant teams which rank higher than others will be automatically accepted to ¼. All other teams will have to fight for such an opportunity in 1/8. Thus, in 1/8 in the Ukrainian Cup Final, one team №1 will play with the team №16, 2 with 15, and 3 with 14 and so on.

Games are held on the field of that team, which ranks lower place after the regular Ukrainian Championship. All games are held on weekends. If the overall scoring is 1-1, the third winner-take-all game takes place. It consists of 9 innings and defines the winning team of 1/8.

• ¼ games are held on the same principle as 1/8 (until two victories);
• ½ games are played until two victories;

The final is held until three wins. First two games take place on the field of team, which ranks lower place after the regular Ukrainian Championship.
