Football isn’t the only game: Kiev mayor Vitaliy Klychko was asked to build a baseball stadium
Proposal “to build a modern Baseball and Softball Stadium in Kiev” was registered on the Kiev mayor’s office site. Initiator of such idea urges that this sport has a great demand among children not only from the capital of Ukraine but the whole country. “Baseball and Softball stadium must meet European norms and standards: qualitative playing area covering, fences, lights, changing rooms, showers, toilets, viewing stands and parking”, – proposal’s authors Brusov Oleg and Levchenko Tatyana note. According to the initiators, Ukrainian youth softball and baseball teams regularly participate in the international competitions. But the absence of appropriate sport arena doesn’t let to conduct serious games in Kiev. Until now the idea was supported by 175 people. If 10 thousand of users support this proposal the petition will be considered by the city deputies.
As we know, Kyiv has a sporty city head. Thus, he must understand such things even more. In fact, it’s rather interesting whether he will hear such asks of people. As of stadiums, I understand Ukraine is not a baseball country. Thus, cities have no standard fields for baseball. But, you know, despite this fact, they play baseball! They do it even having sometimes awful conditions. BC “Biotexcom” from Kropyvnytskyi city. Do you hear about it? They are 21-times champions of Ukraine. Moreover, they are multiple owners of the Cup. It shows that Ukraine has baseball. It is just no very developed. But, in fact, country has many skilled baseball players.
Oh, I know BioTexCom very well! But, I know it as center for human reproduction. My husband and I had a surrogacy program. Now I can see this center has a baseball team. Wow, it’s great! I congratulate them! You, know, the clinic is very nice. And everything is honest. Thus, I think team is happy
Hey, what we are talking about?! Money is not the main aspect. If you want to play and to reach high goals and levels you will do it for sure. Of course, money is needed. And it is nice addition to the game. But, it is not the main. I think when people refer for lack of money it is just a runaround. I don’t want to offend someone. I just think so. It is my own opinion. I know first-hand, if person wants something he will do everything possible and impossible to reach it. Everything is simple. Just stand up and do. And at the end you will receive the result for sure. And this result will be positive!
Why do they need this baseball field? I don’t understand their desire about this. Ukraine has a lot of thing to do in their country. As to results of petition, majority of the population understand that is not the main problem. This country should develop their economy system. They should clean up the mess inside. I think, it`s stupid idea. Country currently has difficulties more essential. People should ask for better living standards. And baseball it`s not the main issue so far.
