The “Leksand Lumberjacks” came back from a 0-1 deficit in the best-of-three Swedish Finals to beat the “Stockholm Monarchs” 2-1. It’s their 21st title in the Swedish Elitserien and their first since 2005. “Stockholm” had won six of the last eight championships in Swedish Baseball.

In game one of the finals “Stockholm” held on to a 8-4 win in a game, which needed to be resumed on Saturday morning after darkness forced the suspension on Friday evening. “Leksand” then beat “Stockholm” 5-3 in game two to tie the series. In the decisive third game “Leksand” celebrated a lopsided 8-0 shutout to clinch the series. Per Sjörs was named finals MVP.
