New logo for Baseball World Cup, which will take place in Monterrey (Mexico), was submitted by World Baseball Softball Confederation

WBSC (Lausanne, Switzerland) created new emblem and announced the list of participants of U-23 Baseball World Cup 2016. In 2014 this event replaced the World University Baseball Championship. For the first time this tournament was held Taichung, Taiwan. It was called the 21U Baseball World Cup. This year championship will take place in Monterrey (October 28th-November 6th)
The winner will get the title of World Champion. In general participants represent all the continents:
- Africa (1): World No. 36 South Africa
- Americas – North and South America (5): No. 7 Venezuela, No. 8 Mexico, No. 15 Panama, No. 18 Nicaragua and No. 27 Argentina
- Asia (3): No. 1 Japan, No. 3 Korea, No. 4 Chinese Taipei
- Europe (2): No. 14 Czech Republic and No. 33 Austria
- Oceania (1): No. 13 Australia
“Due to participation of all continents and the top nations this Baseball Cup will showcase sport`s global reach and competition levels. Each game is expected to be rather exciting and interesting”, – said the president of Confederation Mr. Fraccari.
Two years ago U-21 championship joined together National Teams from all over the globe. The participants of 2014 are Korean Baseball Organization, Major League Baseball, Nicaraguan Professional Baseball League, Chinese Professional Baseball League, Australian Baseball League, Nippon Professional Baseball and Mexican Baseball League.

The new logo of the U-23 Baseball World Cup features the silhouette of a baseball bat handle at the base. On the top of the figure there`s placed inside a hand iconic baseball and red stitching. The middle section highlights the diverse action, energy and excitement of the ball — being caught, hit or thrown.
The Official Look, Tournament Identity and trophy/medals for the U-23 Baseball World Cup 2016 Monterrey will be revealed in the coming weeks.
