Game four of the Italian Baseball Series took place on Tuesday and “Unipol Bologna” prevailed 4-3 over “Rimini” to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game five takes place on Wednesday at 8.30pm. FIBS is broadcasting the game live on YouTube.

“Bologna” took a quick 3-0 lead in the first when Juan Carlos Infante, Claudio Liverziani andRonny Cedeno scored on a wild pitch and Alessandro Vaglio’s RBI single. However Fortitudo didn’t score for the next eight innings and “Rimini” crawled back. An error got them on the board in the second. Jose Flores cut the deficit to a run with a solo home run in the seventh and Riccardo Bertagnon’s sac fly tied the contest in the eighth.

Extra innings were needed to find a winner and “Bologna” won it thanks to a two-out RBI single by Claudio Liverziani in the top of the 11th. Matteo Bocchi earned the win, Padrongot charged with the loss.
