After both teams scored five runs apiece in the first three innings, “Stockholm Monarchs” took the lead for good in the fourth. Ten runs between the sixth and the eighth blew the score open.

Matt Merrifield scored four runs for “Stockholm Monarchs”. Björn Johannessen went 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBI. Manuel Contreras drove in two for “Sundbyberg Heat”. On the mound Ricardo Montero pitched two innings of scoreless relief for the win. Max Hill impressed with six strikeouts in three innings. Alexander Johnsson got charged with the loss.

The Swedish Elitserien will continue its regular season on July 2.
